The Universal Laws of Nature

I have recently learnt that the universal laws of Nature are: free will, truth and love.

Although this sounds simple, I must admit this has been quite a journey of realization.

When talking about laws of nature, I am not talking within our mindframe of science, where laws of gravity, relativity or biochemistry are the core laws we know of. I am talking about something that transcends that, that lives in the mindframe of spirit. The universal laws are ones that give order and guidance to our life while walking on Earth. All nature is guided by these laws and they are the manifestation of life itself. I share below some of the wisdom nature spirits have shared with me.

The first universal law is free will. And how exciting this is! To know that we all have the free will to choose our paths in life. In every moment of our lives we are making a choice. We choose what actions we take, what thoughts we have, how we react to life’s experiences and how we treat others around us. We have the choice to do this with love, kindness and honesty, or we can choose to do it with corruption, dishonesty and neglect. This is our choice to make and no one can interfere with our divine free will. Yet, this law is connected to the laws of cause and effect. For we all know that our actions have consequences and that what we put out to others, somehow, someday, comes back to us. For everything we do in the world is an expression of our inner self. Hence, what we do to others is a reflection of what we are truly doing to ourselves as well. The choice is always there and we can begin making new choices today.

This leads to the second universal law of nature: truth. For nature does not lie. Nature carries the infinite truth of creation, living in eternal honesty with its cyclical patterns of day of night, its seasons, and cycles of death, rebirth and renewal. Nature is true to itself, to its form, its living conditions, its elements, and just by being she does not need to lie or deceive. Nature just is. Her lesson is that by living with honesty is living in truth with yourself. She teaches us that when you lie to others, at the end of the day, in reality, you are only lying to yourself. The laws of cause and effect again play a role here. For you cannot be dishonest while expecting honesty from others. The universal laws of nature carry order in our lives, showing us that we get what we give. Thus, walking a path of truth in life is the path for understanding and reconnecting with the truth of who you really are and your potential on Earth. Deep within us, we know what is true and we need to simply allow ourselves to be honest with our own self.

Truth leads to the third universal law of love. Love can only truly blossom when truth is present. For loving in a dishonest and deceiving way will only lead to pain and sorrow. Speaking with truth to another is speaking with love. When you speak the truth you show your true respect for another person’s integrity and free will to make an informed decision based on true facts. What beauty truth brings us! Truth removes weight and fear off our shoulders and creates the space for a lightness of being and an open heart that is free to simply be who they are. From love stems all other feelings and actions of gratitude, generosity, empathy, and compassion.

In my own life path, I struggled with truth and being honest. Being dishonest was a habit I had built since I was a child. Looking back, I believe it was a reflection of an emptiness inside, a fear of not being enough and an eternal feeling of lacking. What a hard lesson has it been, to find this place within me of being enough and knowing that I do not need to take anything from anyone anymore to fill in this darkness inside. Everyday I am learning and overcoming this. For it is not something that is solved from one day to another, but is an eternal life practice of remembering who I truly am - a person filled with truth and love. Today, I choose to walk my path with truth. It is a choice I make with my power of free will. I always had love in my heart, but now I can see how much more love can blossom within me when it is in partnership with truth.

May this story inspire you to also be in truth with yourself, to your close ones and to all living beings of Mother Earth.
